Jaron, the Lost Prince of Carthya has finally come home. But only weeks after his return,

Jaron is almost killed by his old friend Roden, putting him in a very difficult place. War is brewing, and Jaron fears that the only hope in saving Carthya is fleeing it, and being replaced with a steward for the time being. Jaron will go to any lengths to protect his country, even if it means not coming back….

I mainly LOVED this book because of the amount of determination Jaron had to keep his country safe. He would stop at nothing to do what he thought was right for everyone. I also really liked all of the action and suspense (there was a lot). If there is not action or suspense, it isn’t my kind of book.

I would recommend this book to people above 5th grade, who are the action and suspense type. There is a lot of violence associated with this book. You are also in a constant state of thinking, “What's going to happen next?” It is a very intense book, once you pick it up it’s hard to put down. Also this is the second book in the trilogy.
